Welcome to WatchBay — Where Every Watch Has a Story

WatchBay began with a genuine love for watches and the stories they carry.

The idea took shape in Switzerland. Living and working in the heartland of horology, I found myself walking into traditional boutiques and listening to people talk about watchmaking as something passed down rather than manufactured — the precision, the heritage, the quiet pride in a movement most owners will never see. That stayed with me.

Over the years it grew from an interest into a collector’s habit, and then into a question: why is buying a genuinely good watch in Australia so often either intimidating or overpriced? Great watchmaking isn’t reserved for the top shelf. Some of the most interesting design, engineering and value sits well below it — you just have to know where to look.

That’s what WatchBay is. A curated, handpicked selection of Japanese, Swiss and other authentic timepieces, including limited models and Japanese domestic (JDM) releases that rarely reach the Australian market. Not a catalogue of everything. A shortlist worth owning.

We’re based in Melbourne, Australia, and ship across Australia, New Zealand and other selected international destinations across the world. Every order is tracked, and questions go to a real person rather than a ticket queue.
