Privacy Policy

Last updated: JUNE 2026

ARCORN PTY LTD, ABN – 71621517566, trading as WatchBay (“WatchBay”, “we”, “us”, “our”) is committed to protecting your privacy and handling your personal information in accordance with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles.

This policy explains how we collect, use, store and protect your personal information when you visit or make a purchase from www.watchbay.com.au.

Information we collect

We collect only what we need to run our business and fulfil your orders. When you place an order or contact us, this may include:

  • Full name
  • Email address
  • Shipping and billing address
  • Telephone number (if provided)
  • Order details and purchase history

We use this to process payments, arrange delivery, provide support and send order updates. Where you’ve given consent, we may also send occasional promotional emails — you can unsubscribe at any time using the link in the email.

We do not sell, rent or trade your personal information.

Payment information

Payments are processed by trusted third-party providers, including Stripe (via WooPayments) and PayPal.

WatchBay does not store, access or retain credit card numbers, CVV codes or full payment details. Payment data is encrypted and handled directly by the payment provider under their own security and compliance standards.

Website and technical data

When you visit our website, limited technical information may be collected automatically through cookies and similar technologies, including:

  • Browser and device type
  • IP address and general geographic location
  • Pages viewed and how you use the site

We use this for analytics, site performance, fraud prevention and improving your experience. Some of this data — such as an IP address — may be personal information in some circumstances, and we handle it accordingly.

We use analytics and advertising technologies which may include Google Analytics and Meta (Facebook) advertising tools. These providers may set their own cookies and process data under their own privacy policies.

You can disable or delete cookies through your browser settings, though some features of the site may not work as intended.

How we use your information

We use personal information only where reasonably necessary to:

  • Fulfil and deliver your orders
  • Send order confirmations, tracking and service messages
  • Provide customer service and handle warranty or return requests
  • Improve website functionality and performance
  • Detect and prevent fraud
  • Comply with our legal obligations

Who we share it with

We share only what’s necessary with trusted service providers who help us operate, including:

  • Payment processors
  • Shipping, logistics and fulfilment partners
  • Website hosting, email and technology providers
  • Analytics and marketing platforms

These providers are required to handle your information securely and only for the purpose of providing their service to us.

We may also disclose information where required or authorised by law, or to establish or defend a legal claim.

Overseas storage and transfers

Some of our service providers store or process data outside Australia. Based on our current providers, this may include the United States, the European Union, Singapore and Japan (for supply and warranty coordination).

Where personal information is transferred overseas, we take reasonable steps to ensure it’s handled consistently with the Australian Privacy Principles.

How long we keep it

We keep personal information only as long as we need it for the purposes described above, or as required by law. Order and transaction records are generally retained for seven years to meet Australian tax and record-keeping obligations. Marketing contact details are retained until you unsubscribe.

Data security

We use reasonable administrative, technical and physical safeguards to protect personal information from misuse, interference, loss and unauthorised access, modification or disclosure.

No method of online transmission or storage is completely secure, but we take security seriously and act promptly if an issue arises.

Links to other websites

Our website may link to sites we don’t own or control. We’re not responsible for their privacy practices, and we encourage you to read the privacy policy of any site you visit.

Accessing and correcting your information

You can ask us for a copy of the personal information we hold about you, or ask us to correct it if it’s inaccurate or out of date. Email contact@watchbay.com.au and we’ll respond within a reasonable period, usually within 30 days.

There’s no charge for making a request. If we can’t provide access or make a correction, we’ll explain why in writing.

Making a complaint

If you think we’ve mishandled your personal information or breached the Australian Privacy Principles, please tell us first — email contact@watchbay.com.au with “Privacy Complaint” in the subject line.

We’ll acknowledge your complaint promptly, investigate it, and respond in writing, usually within 30 days.

If you’re not satisfied with our response, you can contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC):
